Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. One of the shows she has participated in that has had the greatest popularity is the Disney series he Wizards of Waverly Place. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. Born on the 22nd of July, 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Her mother was barely 16 at the time Selena became a mother. When she was 9 she got her first job as a showgirl when she got the role of Gianna from Barney and her Friends. She was among numerous children who played with Barney, the infamous human-like pink dinosaur. Selena participated in a number of episodes in seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 until 2003. A fun fact to note: Selena was not the only singer who worked on Barney and his Friends during this period; Demi Lovato was also part of the team that starred in the series. Following the end of the show, Selena Gomez auditioned for several parts in different programs as well as films, but wasn't much success. She got a small role in the 2003 film Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) and another like Julie from Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. In 2006, she was also granted the role that of Emily Grace Garcia for the Brain Zapped show. She also wrote a song.
